Explanation:

[tex]period = 2\pi \sqrt{ \frac{length}{g} } [/tex]

[tex]3.65 \: s = 2\pi \sqrt{ \frac{(1.25 \: m)}{g} } [/tex]

Squaring both sides and solving for g, we get

g = 3.70 m/s^2

which is close to what is expected (3.71 m/s^2).
