To find the tax we have to multiply the percent by the cost.

Remember that in order to do this we need to convert the 7% into a decimal, which means we need to divide it by 100.

7 / 100 = .07

Now lets multiply:

25 * .07 = 1.75

This means that our sales tax is A) $1.75.
