5x-6y=12
-6y=-5x+12
y=5/6(x) - 2 

5/6 is the slope, and (0,-2) is the y-intercept.

ok so to put your equation into slope intercept form you need to do y=mx=b. so basically 5x+6y=12 then subtract 5x  long story short y=-5/6x+2
