The most important ingredient in the bullet proof glass is polycarbonate. This is used in one of the first layers of lamination of the bullet-proof glass. The glass needs at least 3mm of polycarbonate to be bullet-proof. The material, polycarbonate, is very strong, tough and optically transparent.
