What would happen if chloroplasts are taken out of the cell and illuminated?

(If chloroplasts are taken out of the cell and illuminated) then there will be no chlorophyll and therefore the plant would not be able to make food. (Humans won't get any plants to eat either), but you don't have to include that in your answer. :)
