I guess this cube is a dye & it has six faces numbered from 1 to 6.

If so the expected value is the probability x number of times:


P(getting 1 or 2 or 3 or 4) = 4/6 = 2/3

The number of times = 10, hence the expected value is 12x(2/3) = 8 times
