The area of a rectangle is 66 m2, and the length of the rectangle is 7 m less than three times the width. find the dimensions of the rectangle.

Based on my calculations, you can substitute the second equation back into the first.  (3W-7)*W =66 Then 2W^2-7=663W^2 - 7W - 66 = 0 (3W+11)(W-6) = 0.  You set each factor equal to 0 (zero product property)
