Given:
Gravitational force between the sun and earth is 3.52E22

Required:
Mass of sun

Solution:

Note: G is the universal gravitational constant at 6.67E-11 N-m2/kg2

Fg (gravitational force) = G(mass of sun)(mass of earth)/r2
3.52E22 N = (6.67E-11N-m2/kg2)(mass of sun)(5.972E24kg)/(149, 597, 870, 700 meters)2
Mass of sun = 4.426E52 kg
